Ski-Doo Cover and Bag Fit Guide: REV, XP, Expedition, Skandic and Grand Touring

By the GEARS team Updated November 2026 8 min read
Quick answer

The right Ski-Doo cover depends on your chassis, model year and whether the sled has a rear cargo box. Our AdventureFit Trailerable Snowmobile Cover is listed for the Expedition 2018 to 2022, all Skandic models 2023 to 2026 and the Grand Touring 2022 to 2026 with a rear cargo box. REV-XP 1-up sleds from 2008 to 2014 and REV touring sleds with 2+1 seats take the 2X-Large Trailerable Snowmobile Cover, and other touring sleds are named under either its Grand Touring size or its 2X-Large, so find yours in the table. For bags, the REV XP/XR Tunnel Bag fits only the REV-XP and REV-XR chassis from 2008 to 2016. Our universal tunnel bag fits all snowmobiles, the Trail Boss saddlebags are sold as universal fit for Ski-Doo, and the Small Handlebar Bag fits all ATV and snowmobile handlebars, according to its page. The Big Handlebar Bag's page says it is built for snowmobile or ATV storage and gives no model list.

Ski-Doo and its model names are trademarks of their owners; we use model names only to describe fit. If your sled is not named below, do not guess: measure it with our snowmobile cover sizing guide and check the size chart, or send us your model, year and track length.

ZX chassis with side mirrors, and 1-up short-track sleds without a backrest Trailerable Snowmobile Cover, X-Large
Any Ski-Doo for storage only Universal Snowmobile Storage Cover, sized by overall length

The Trailerable Snowmobile Cover page gives the size chart by overall length, and its model lists are examples, not a complete list. The AdventureFit list is the other way round: buy it only for a model and setup on its list.

Ski-Doo Expedition and Skandic covers

The AdventureFit cover is cut for big touring and utility sleds, and its fit list is in the table above.

The Grand Touring size of the Trailerable Snowmobile Cover is a universal-fit option made for 2-up sleds with a foldable or modular backrest, passenger handgrips, cargo space, high or low windshields and very long tracks. Its examples include the Expedition 2018 and earlier, a 2013 Skandic Touring and a 2009 Summit.

An Expedition from 2023 on is not named on either page. Measure it and send us the overall length, model and setup before you order.

Ski-Doo REV and REV-XP covers

Go by the exact chassis:

  • REV-XP 1-up, 2008 to 2014: the 2X-Large covers all short and long track 1-up REV XP models from those years.
  • REV touring with a 2+1 seat: the 2X-Large covers them, including handguards and the high backrest.
  • 2013 REV XS: the 2X-Large is listed for it.
  • REV-XR: the 2X-Large page says it does not fit XR models.
  • First REV sleds: the page lists them both ways. The X-Large examples name REV models from 2003 to 2009, excluding RT (MX-Z, GSX and Summit versions), but the same size's fit line says it fits Ski-Doo excluding REV. The 2X-Large examples separately name 2003 to 2008 GTX, MX-Z, Summit and GSX models. Measure the overall length, check the size chart and check with us before you order.

The X-Large is for 1-up, short-track sleds without a backrest: most Ski-Doo models other than REV, plus the ZX chassis with side mirrors.

Newer Ski-Doo sleds (Gen4 and later chassis)

Our cover pages do not name the Gen4 chassis or the REV-XU, XM and XS sleds after 2013. Measure the overall length in a straight line, from the tip of the front hood to the outside of the rear seat, as our cover sizing guide shows, then match it to the Trailerable Snowmobile Cover's size chart. Tell us about a 2-up seat, a tall windshield or a cargo box, since each one changes the size. For storage only, the Universal Snowmobile Storage Cover goes by length: Standard 103 to 112 inches, Touring 112 to 122, Grand Touring 122 and up.

Mounting Removable, tension-adjustable cam buckles, no tools Four-point cam buckles, lengthwise or crosswise
Extras Rear reflective beading, wipe-clean lining Shovel straps, covered zippers

If you ride a 2008 to 2016 REV-XP or REV-XR, the REV XP/XR Tunnel Bag is shaped for that tunnel. Every other Ski-Doo, from an XM or XS to a Gen4 or an Expedition, takes the Universal Snowmobile Tunnel Bag. For how tunnel bags, saddlebags and handlebar bags compare, see our snowmobile luggage guide.

From our riders

Expedition owners have put the Universal Tunnel Bag on the back of their sleds; one only had to drill two holes for the rivets. Another owner points out that the cam buckles sit next to straps you can wrap around part of the sled, so you can mount it without riveting.

Ski-Doo saddlebags and handlebar bags

The Trail Boss Universal Fit Snowmobile Saddlebags are a pair, one for each side, sold as universal fit for all Ski-Doo, Yamaha, Arctic Cat and Polaris snowmobiles. They do not get in the way of the rear passenger's legs, and extra-long rear straps make them fit long-track sleds. Each bag is 16 x 6.5 x 13.5 inches, with covered zippers and large pull tabs. Rivets and flat washers come in the box.

On the bars, the Small Handlebar Bag fits all snowmobile and ATV handlebars and keeps your essentials within reach, with a key ring holder inside. For more room, the Big Handlebar Bag (12 x 5.5 x 7.5 inches) has a roomy main pocket plus a front pocket, waterproof zippers and a map pouch. Its page says it is built for snowmobile or ATV storage and gives no model fit list, so check your bar setup before you order. Owners have fitted our handlebar bags to a 2010 Renegade X, a Grand Touring 600 ACE and other 600 ACE Ski-Doos.

How to choose for your Ski-Doo

  1. Find your chassis and year. Your owner's manual or dealer can confirm them.
  2. Note the setup. A rear cargo box, a 2-up seat or a tall windshield changes the cover.
  3. Trailer or garage? If the sled rides on a trailer, choose a trailerable cover. The storage cover is not listed for towing.
  4. Check the list, then measure. Look for your exact model, year and setup on a product page's list, then measure the overall length and check it against the size chart. If your sled is not listed, or is listed under two sizes, send us the measurement before you order.
  5. Brand-new sled? The Trailerable Snowmobile Cover and Universal Storage Cover pages warn against using the cover in the first four weeks on a newly made sled, and say it is safe four weeks after the manufacture date: some fresh paints give off gases that can make the cover's dyes bleed.

Questions riders ask us

Which trailerable cover fits a 2020 Ski-Doo Expedition?

The AdventureFit, listed for the Expedition 2018 to 2022, with or without the rear cargo box.

I have a 2023 Skandic with a box on the back. Which cover?

The AdventureFit. Its fit list includes all Skandic models from 2023 to 2026, and it is the cover we recommend for a Skandic with a rear box.

Is it a custom-fit Ski-Doo cover?

No. The Trailerable Snowmobile Cover is a universal-fit cover in three sizes, held snug by an elastic hem cord, tension panels and quick-release straps with J-hooks.

Will the REV XP/XR Tunnel Bag fit my XM, XS or XU?

No. It fits only the REV-XP and REV-XR chassis from 2008 to 2016. On any other Ski-Doo, use the Universal Snowmobile Tunnel Bag.

My Backcountry or Renegade has a 2-up seat. What size do I need?

Those newer models are not named on our cover pages, so measure the overall length and send it to us with the year, seat and windshield height. We will check it before you order.
