I don't know how any sledder can navigate with maps without this item. I couldn't even imagine having to break out a map and shove it up by my windshield as I once did. You certainly couldn't view the map while moving that way. I have a Garmin on my sled and have this installed to be able to look down just in case. The only negative is the plastic window cracks very easily due to the cold. I just replaced the map holder on 2 sleds because there was so much clear packing tape over the cracks it was distracting. I highly recommend this.
