This is used to power the Gen-X4 Heated Socks or Insoles when you DON'T already have a pair of Gen-X3/X4 Heated Leg Chaps.

If you intend on connecting your heated socks or insoles directly to your vehicle's 12V battery, this wire will receive power via the Coax Battery Cord (SKU 100227-1).
If you already have a heated jacket or heated vest, then simply connect this wire's male coax end (labeled "connect to power") to your temperature controller and the other female coax end (labeled "connect to apparel") to your jacket or vest. In this scenario, your socks or insoles will be at the same temperature as your jacket or vest.

The cable assembly is very well constructed and obviously over-built to withstand lots of punishment. The connectors are tight and stay connected during use. I don’t like the switch for the simple reason that it always gets clicked off under my clothing. If there was switch with a finger guard or one with a thumb wheel I think it would be better. That said maybe there is nothing out there that could meet Gear’s obviously very high standards. Don’t let this comment deter you, it just a suggestion. The product is great and I’m sure it will last for years!
Very robust cabling and solid connections. I am tall, and this was long enough - with spare.
Works great. Length was perfect. I only wish the curled , expansion portion wasn't as long. Feels a bit uncomfortable, but warm feet is way better. So.....
I think custom lengths based on inseams would be a good direction Gears could go in.
