Motorcycle Throttle Lock | Easy Cruise Control

Easy to fit, easy to engage and disengage. I tried a cramp buster paddle first, but it got in the way of my grip. This throttle lock is out of the way and works great. You shouldn't... but you could ride no hands with this thing on. That's a cramp buster.

It worked better than I thought, so I am pleased with it.

It does exactly what it’s supposed to. An effective and inexpensive way to get some rest for your throttle hand. It’s well made and light and super easy and simple to install. For the price you can’t go wrong and I’d recommend to anyone.

Didn't think it would work but it does. Even when paired with my oversized grip puppies, it still works good. It does not hold continuously unless you really lock it on. I use it for a few minutes of relief and yes you have to make an adjustment here and there.

This product works as described - have used it on my motorcycle without any issues since purchase. If it's loose - tighten it and of course make sure it is installed in the correct direction for safety and for proper use. Love this product, and holds the throttle just fine without being bulky or getting in the way of my hand on the grip. Do not tighten it too hard or it will be tough to throttle down and decelerate.

I'm probably on my third or fourth throttle lock for my CBR 600. Three of them were identical to this one but made out of anodized aluminum. Everyone either didn't get snug enough bent or broke. I even spent $165 on an atlas that flew apart while I was riding my bike and there's no way I could pick up the pieces. So far everyone except this one has been unsatisfactory. The only time this hasn't held a speed is obviously going up a hill or coming downhill. On flattering it is excellent to allow you to get circulation back in your hand. I was leery, purchase something made out of polymer but I'm ordering my second one now to keep under my seat in case someone steals this one when I'm parked and away from my bike. $16 extremely well spent absolute fantastic product.

Holds throttle steady and frees up hand. Safe to use and unbelievably effective for 10x less price than leading brands. Def recommend.

Just got back from two 14 hour rides and this thing really saved my wrist. Simple to use and worked very well. Took a second to get used to disengaging it, but felt totally safe because I had the clutch pulled in each time. This will be an essential piece of kit for longer haul rides.

Works well however the metal wheel needs to be tightened regularly

For such a cheap price it works great.

As with all friction style throttle locks, this doesn't actually lock your throttle in place, that would be dangerous. It uses friction to hold it a specific throttle settings, but you can still turn the throttle in case of emergency. I've used a couple different style throttle locks and I like this style best. Its adjustable and doesn't take up too much space on your throttle. Since it doesn't actually lock your throttle, sometimes you need to set the throttle position a bit more than what you intended, as there can be a little play, which will cause you to go slower than intended. This is not uncommon for friction style throttle locks.
I put a piece of hockey stick tape on the bottom/the part that touches my brake lever, so it doesn't mar it up. However, it is plastic, so even without the tape, it shouldn't scratch too much, but the tape helps.
Its super nice to give your throttle hand a break for a few moments, especially on longer rides. I use this in conjunction with one of those plastic throttle plates that clamp to your grip and you rest your wrist on.
My reason for giving it a 4, is it should come with 2 rubber bands to have an extra one. I'd even pay a tad more to have an extra one.

A good buy, but I would go with the smaller new version. If you ride with 2 fingers on break and have signal button on the opposite side of the device, it could be quite the reach to hit the signal button. This is why I would prefer a thinner, small, new version. I have big hands so not that big of an issue

Simple, easy and effective. Not electronic cruise control by any means but allows me to take my hand off the throttle for 30 seconds up to a couple minutes on flats. Good, cheap cruise option. Operation is fairly simple but a little cumbersome but still very manageable.

Pretty awesome product, really well made. Works way better than the metal ones.

A lot better than I thought it would be for the price. Definitely makes riding with carpal in my right hand waaaay better. I use it all the time. I've had it about a month now and I'm really happy with it!

I've had a few trips to test the product from Gears and love it. Yes it's plastic (lighter than metal) and the price is more than others but it came quickly and on time (not direct from China) and the money I saved from pain killers in the meanwhile compensated. I get severe wrist pain from injury on long trips and this device pretty much keeps the pain from happening. Proper use and the right expectations of this product before purchase was important. I DON'T use the throttle lock in town or on hilly or twisty roads I don't think it was intended for that. I practised with the bike off and then on a back road (long and straight). Once I had it down I continued use on regular highway. I have recommended this throttle lock to my friends who ride, it's a great product if used properly!

It's overpriced for what it is.
