This is well made heater, supplied with a quality wiring harness and on/off switch. The wire mesh heating element - big enough to keep even bigger bottoms toasty - is sewn between two layers of synthetic material (with a fine, perfectly stitched edge binding). The bottom is fitted with strips of high-bond 3M 2 sided tape to keep the pad in place. The unit’s strengths are also its weaknesses. The pad is thick enough to be visible under seat upholstery and more so under leather. 2 noticeable wires can be felt down the longitudinal center of the pad too. For a smooth fit, you must remove about a 1” diameter “divot” of foam from the seat to allow the rear edge of the pad where the power cord exits to sit flat on the foam. If you’re up to the installation process, this pad will produce plenty of heat (in fact, you may want to replace the water resistant switch with a variable heat controller) and will likely last for years, but you’ll be reminded of its presence every time you look at your bike seat.
Looks good. Will try IT this winter. Only thing would of been better if IT had a low and a high.
I installed this internal seat heater on my snowmobile. After a full winter, the heated seat still works perfectly. It comes very hot quickly! I wish there was a High/Low/Off option instead of On/Off.
